I'm A Catholic by Jim Shoulak
I'm a Catholic!
And I pray the rosary.
I'm a Catholic!
Somebody call a priest.
I went to Catholic grade school, prayed the stations of the cross, got a statue of St. Christopher, so you know I won't get lost.
I'm a Catholic!
Sing it strong and sing it loud: I'm a Catholic!
And you know I'm very proud of Popes, and mass, the Patron Saints, the Angelus and chimes, novenas and the sacraments.
I'll tell the world that I'm a Catholic!
I'm a Catholic!
I am old and I am young.
I was taught by the greatest nun, I’ve got scapulars, holy cards, water that is blessed, vigil lights and Mary's sightings.
Father, I confess, I'm a Catholic!
(?) candle all a-glow.
I'm a Catholic!
Et cum Spiritu tuo.
I worked in missions around the world and the shelter down the street.
I marched for life and human rights.
Tell everyone you meet: I'm a Catholic!
I'm a Catholic!
The real presence in the host.
I'm a Catholic!
Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
I read the Holy Bible, hosted Mass in my home and I listened to the teachings of the Pope, who lives in Rome.
I'm a Catholic!
Right down to my Confirmation name.
I'm a Catholic!
And I room for Notre Dame.
And when my days are over and my time has come to pass
For the rosary in my folded hands and say at my funeral Mass:
Here was a Catholic!
I'm a Catholic!
I'm a Catholic!
Amen
